Senior Scholar Award in Polymer, Textile and Fiber Engineering
Alexander Gentile was the senior or graduate with the highest academic average.
American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists Award
Aerial Goodman received the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists Award.
Henry Ford II Scholar Award
Adam Hannon was one of the engineering students with the best academic records at the end of the third year of academic study.
George Wingfield Semmes Memorial Scholarship
Jennifer Chan received a scholarship award for undergraduate engineering students who demonstrate academic achievement, outstanding leadership qualities, a strong character, and a true love for Georgia Tech.
Auxiliary Services IMPACT Scholarship
Jennifer Chan was chosen as one of ten students who make an incredible impact and play a positive role in the Tech community through informal and formal roles as leaders or in support capacities.
Senior Phi Psi Award
Amanda Avery was chosen by Phi Psi students to receive this award based on scholarship, leadership, initiative, personality, loyalty, and courtesy. Her name will be placed on a plaque in the School lobby.
Women in Engineering Pay It Forward Scholarship
Amanda Avery was awarded this scholarship in March, 2008.

Kathryn Abbott was the recipient of the TECHexcellence Award, given to a deserving student who has made a significant contribution to the Office of the Dean of Students in the area of leadership, self-awareness, vision, service to others, communication, teamwork in diverse groups, ethics and integrity.

Association of Textile Chemists and Colorists (AATCC)
Dr. Fred Cook is currently serving his second term as President-elect of AATCC and will assume the presidency on January 1, 2009, the first Georgia Tech faculty to ever hold that position.
MASCAL Pioneering Nanotechnology Grand Prize
Dr. Vladimir V. Tsukruk was awarded the MASCAL Pioneering Nanotechnology Grand Prize in November, 2007.
