Dr. Meisha Shofner Receives Award from ORAU

Atlanta (April 13, 2007) — Dr. Meisha Shofner, Assistant Professor in PTFE has been selected to receive one of the Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Awards.

The Ralph E. Powe Junior Faculty Enhancement Awards provide seed money for research by junior faculty at Oak Ridge Associated Universities (ORAU) member institutions. These awards are intended to enrich the research and professional growth of young faculty and result in new funding opportunities.

Dr. Shofner will receive a $5,000 award from ORAU that will be matched by an equal amount from Georgia Tech.
