Biography
Dr. Donggang Yao is an Associate Professor in the School of Polymer, Textile and Fiber Engineering. He teaches and directs research in the broad area of polymer engineering. His ongoing research deals with polymer micro/nano fabrication, micro rheometry, single-polymer composites, self-reinforcing polymer processing, and biodegradable scaffold fabrication. He was a recipient of the 2003 Career Award from NSF for his research on the development of rapid-production methods for polymer-based microstructures. He received a Research Initiation Award from the Society of Manufacturing Engineers in 2002. He was an Assistant Professor at Oakland University before he joined Georgia Tech.
