MSE Poster Session
The 2nd Annual MSE Poster Competition will be held Thursday, March 27, from 3:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. in the Christopher W. Klaus Computing Building located on the Georgia Tech campus.
The School of Materials Science and Engineering is grateful for the support of Premier Sponsor, Solvay, a global company founded in 1863, serving diversified markets worldwide, from consumer goods to energy, with one main aim – to improve quality of life and customer performance. Additional sponsors of the event include NicePak, Invista, ASM Atlanta Chapter,TE Connectivity, and Dr. David M. Bowden (MS Met '78, Ph.D. Chem '82) .
The MSE Poster Competition is an opportunity for graduate and undergraduate students in the School of Materials Science and Engineering to showcase their research, and connect and share their work with other students, faculty, and industry representatives. This will be an excellent opportunity for industry representatives, including those with an eye to future hiring, to become familiar with the skills and capabilities of participating MSE students.
Student participants compete to win prizes for their posters in different categories of materials, including Biomaterials, Nanomaterials, Structural Materials, Energy/Electronic Materials, and Polymers. Prizes are judged on quality of research, poster design and presentation, as well as each student's verbal presentation of his or her research. The top poster across all categories will win the Solvay Best in Show prize valued at $1,000.
